A new book series from Robin John Morgan in Summer 2025.

The Sword for the Sky series of books, are all set on the continent of Pangela, which will be launched with the first book in the series, Oaken of the Winds.

When the Summanu swarmed out of their cities, a great war ensued, forcing the men of Andalan, led by Andalyn, to unite around them, and fight back. Andalyn took up the sword of the winds, led a raiding party into Salanula, where Shengara cut the head of the Summanu leader, Balalaran clean off in front of his young son Balathral, and ended years of war.

Some wounds never heal, some anger smoulders slowly, and all hatred grows. Shengara left the Jungles of Leyarken, and took the Undine across the wide Heliospan Desert, to live in peace in the new lands of Undinalashka. For years all was still and peaceful, and all but one forgot the pain of the great war.

Balathral spent years growing his new army, he attacked and slaughtered all who stood in his way, cutting off hope and aid to Andalan. After half a decade of war, overwhelmed by sheer numbers the Andalan fled into the desert, towards the safe haven of Undinalashka. It came at a cost of many, including their leader, Andalyn.

Balathral was not finished, the desert had been a protection, he planned his revenge to be the most brutal and vile, as his soldiers and slavers lined up ready in numbers never seen before. He declared the Undine a dead race, and demanded they be wiped from the lands forever.

The air was changing, a hand once again would take up the sword of legend, as foretold in the four books of the wind. It was time for Oatin to walk in the shadow of his father, as Nuada passed on the gifts of the sky, and he would choose a new name blessed by the four winds. Oaken of the Winds came fourth, the air was shifting, and once again, the Undine painted on their war faces.

The wind is coming, and he is not alone.
